Injection Moulding Machines for Household Products
Pratishna Engineers manufactures horizontal injection moulding machines that produce plastic household products for kitchen, storage, cleaning, bathroom and laundry use. Typical parts include buckets, tubs, mugs, storage boxes, casseroles, lunch boxes, dustbins, baskets, trays, hangers, clothes pegs and broom and mop parts, many of which are large but light parts where projected area, colour and cycle time decide the cost.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for household products in India. Based in Mumbai, the company brings 35+ years of machine-building experience and has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, including the H Series built for household articles and two-platen machines for larger houseware, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Most houseware is moulded in PP copolymer or HDPE, often with recycled content, and parts such as buckets, tubs, trays and baskets have large projected areas with thin walls. They need enough clamping force and daylight opening for deep moulds, fast injection to fill long flow paths and even cooling to keep lids, rims and flat bases free of warp.

Recommended Machines for Household Products
Most household articles, such as casseroles, thermoware, baskets, trays, dustpans, brooms, hangers, lunch boxes and bathroom sets, suit the H Series (120-350 T), built for household articles. Small parts such as curtain rings, hooks, clothes pegs, scrubber holders and kitchen smallware suit the E Series in multi-cavity moulds. Thin-wall buckets, tubs, bowls and container closures suit the C Series, while larger buckets, storage boxes and dustbins suit the PHM Series two-platen machines, subject to size. The right machine depends on projected area, mould depth, cavities and output.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often about moulding household products.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Plastic Buckets and Tubs?
Buckets and tubs are thin-wall parts with a large projected area and a deep mould. A machine is selected by bucket size, projected area, shot weight and mould height. Smaller buckets, tubs and basins suit C Series machines, while larger buckets suit PHM Series two-platen machines, which also give the long opening stroke deep moulds need. Can Pratishna Machines Produce Casseroles, Thermoware and Lunch Boxes?
Yes. Casserole and thermoware outer bodies, lids and inner liners, and lunch box bodies, inner containers and lids in PP, SAN or ABS can be produced on H Series machines. Only the plastic shells are moulded; the insulation and steel liners are assembled. What Plastic Materials Are Used for Household Products?
Common materials include PP copolymer and HDPE for buckets, tubs, bins and baskets, with recycled PP or HDPE blends, SAN, PC and copolyester for clear mugs, bowls and containers, ABS and PS for bathroom accessories and decorative parts, PA6-GF for brackets and stand joints, and TPE for gaskets and grips.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Dustbins and Storage Boxes?
It depends on the bin or box size, depth and projected area. Smaller bins and boxes may suit H Series machines, while larger dustbins and storage boxes need PHM Series two-platen machines up to 350 tons. The mould height and opening stroke should be checked along with tonnage.
Can These Machines Produce Hangers, Clothes Pegs and Curtain Fittings?
Yes. Clothes hangers, clothes pegs, curtain rings, finials, brackets and hooks in PP, POM, ABS or PA6 can be moulded; the machine is selected based on part size, cavities and volume. Pegs and rings are high-cavity parts, while hangers are limited by filling the long shoulder section. How Do You Keep Household Products Flat and Colour-Matched?
Large flat parts such as trays and lids need balanced cooling and correct hold pressure to avoid warp, and airtight containers need body, lid and gasket shrinkage to match. Colour-matched ranges need consistent masterbatch dosing and a qualified recycled content ratio.Which Pratishna Series Suits Household Products?
The H Series (120-350 T) suits most household articles, the E Series suits small parts, the C Series suits thin-wall buckets, tubs and bowls, and the PHM Series (160-350 T) covers large buckets, storage boxes and dustbins. How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Household Product?
