Horizontal Injection Moulding Machine (C Series)

The C Series is a range of horizontal plastic injection moulding machines from Pratishna Engineers, built for container making and thin-wall packaging. The series spans 140 to 320 tons across five models, with high injection rates, long clamping strokes and deep daylight openings, so containers, tubs, pails, lids and closures fill fast and eject cleanly.

Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted container injection moulding machine manufacturers in India. Based in Mumbai, the company brings 35+ years of machine-building experience and has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering the C Series for food, dairy, paint, FMCG and industrial packaging, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.

Across the range, screw diameters run from 35 to 65 mm, shot weights from 151 to 821 g (PS) and injection rates up to 300 cc/sec, with daylight openings from 750 to 1,125 mm, ejector strokes up to 150 mm and platens from 640 × 570 mm to 910 × 930 mm. Select a model by container size, wall thickness, cavities, mould height and output, since thin walls and deep moulds set the requirement more than part weight.

C Series Horizontal Injection Moulding Machines by Tonnage

The Pratishna C Series is available in five clamping-force options: 140, 180, 220, 260 and 320 tons, most with two or three screw options. Smaller models suit caps, closures, cups and small tubs in multi-cavity moulds, while larger models suit pails, larger containers and high-cavity thin-wall moulds.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

The answers our engineers give most often, before a C Series specification is agreed.

  • What Is the Pratishna C Series Horizontal Injection Moulding Machine?
The C Series is Pratishna’s range of horizontal injection moulding machines for container making, available from 140 to 320 tons across five models.
  • What Makes a Machine Suitable for Container Making?
Thin-wall containers need a high injection rate and pressure to fill before the melt freezes, and deep moulds need a long clamping stroke, large daylight and a long ejector stroke. The C Series reaches injection rates up to 300 cc/sec, daylight up to 1,125 mm and ejector strokes up to 150 mm.
  • Which Products Are Made on C Series Machines?
Food and dairy containers, IML tubs, ice cream containers, cups, lids, paint pails and lids, square tubs, caps and closures, and other thin-wall packaging.
  • Which C Series Model Is Suitable for My Container?
The model depends on container size, wall thickness, projected area, number of cavities, mould height and output. Share your container drawing and mould details and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a model.
  • Can C Series Machines Run Multi-Cavity Hot Runner Moulds?
Yes. Caps, closures and small containers are usually run in multi-cavity hot runner moulds. The model is chosen for the total projected area, shot weight and the platen and tie-bar space the mould needs.
  • What Plastic Materials Can the C Series Process?
Depending on the machine configuration, the C Series can process thermoplastics such as PP, PE, ABS, PS, nylon, PC, POM and other engineering plastics. Material-specific screw and barrel requirements should be evaluated before selection. Most containers use PP copolymer, high-flow PP, HDPE or LDPE.
  • What Is the Difference Between the C, E and H Series?
The C Series (140 to 320 tons) is built for container making and thin-wall packaging. The E Series (75 to 180 tons) suits small and medium parts, and the H Series (120 to 350 tons) is built for household articles and larger parts.
  • Does Pratishna Provide Installation and Support for C Series Machines?
Yes. Pratishna Engineers provides installation, commissioning, operator training and after-sales technical support, along with spare parts, as part of its machine lifecycle services.
