Injection Moulding Machine for Casseroles and Insulated Hot Pots
Insulated casserole outer bodies, lids and plastic inner liners are produced on horizontal injection moulding machines from PP, SAN or ABS. Machine size follows the outer body, the largest moulding, through its diameter, depth and shot weight. Gloss and colour have to match across every size in a set, so mould temperature and drying are held tightly.
Casserole production means several tools of different sizes, so machine selection groups the outer bodies, lids and liners by mould size and shot. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for casserole parts and can recommend a configuration for the full set.

Machine Requirements for Casserole Moulding
The outer body is the part the customer sees, and the lid has to lock and seal, so the machine needs:
- Opening stroke for the deep outer body shell
- Steady mould temperature for a uniform gloss finish
- Drying for ABS and SAN outer bodies
- Accurate masterbatch dosing to match colour across sizes
- Repeatable shot so lid locking lugs hold size
- Fill pattern that keeps sink off the show face
Recommended Machine for Casseroles
Lids, plastic liners and smaller casserole bodies fit the E Series (75-180 T). For mid-size and large outer bodies with deep cores, the choice is the C Series (140-320 T) or, for taller moulds, the H Series (120-350 T). Oversized serving casseroles are discussed on request.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
Points casserole makers raise before ordering machines.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Casseroles?
A casserole set usually needs more than one machine size. Pratishna Engineers can place lids and liners on the E Series and the larger outer bodies on the C or H Series.Which Parts of an Insulated Casserole Are Injection Moulded?
Only the outer body, the lid and any plastic inner liner. A stainless steel liner is fabricated sheet metal, and the PU foam insulation between the shells is filled on a separate foaming line. How Is Gloss and Colour Kept the Same Across a Set?
Use a polished mould, hold mould temperature steady, dry ABS and SAN before moulding, and dose masterbatch accurately. Changing resin lot or regrind level between sizes is a common cause of mismatch.
What Decides the Fit of the Casserole Lid?
Locking lugs and the sealing rim on the lid must hold size shot after shot. Stable holding pressure, even cooling and a consistent material keep shrinkage repeatable, so lids close and seal on every body. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Casserole?
Yes. Share drawings or samples of each moulded part, materials, part weights, mould dimensions, the sizes in the set and output target, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend suitable machines.Does the Machine Suit Other Insulated Household Products Too?
Yes. The same machines can mould thermoware jugs and bottles, tiffin boxes, kitchen containers and plastic bowls, depending on each mould.
