Injection Moulding Machine for Cleaning Brushes

Cleaning brush bodies and bases are moulded on horizontal injection moulding machines, usually in PP copolymer or ABS, and bristles are tufted into the moulded holes afterwards. Body size and cavity count set the tonnage. Tuft hole roundness and depth matter most, since the tufting machine needs every hole to the same size.

Machine choice for cleaning brushes rests on repeatable filling around many tuft hole core pins and steady cooling of the brush back. Pratishna Engineers offers horizontal injection moulding machines for brush bodies and bases, and its team can suggest a configuration.

Machine Requirements for Cleaning Brush Moulding

A brush body is judged by how well it takes the bristles and how it feels in the hand. Selection points include:

  • Round, even-depth tuft holes for the tufting machine
  • Core pins kept straight by balanced fill around them
  • Flat brush back so tufts sit level
  • Grip area free of sink at thick sections
  • ABS drying for glossy handles without splay
  • Mould space for long-handle and family tools

Recommended Machine for Cleaning Brushes

Hand scrub brushes, dish brushes and brush bases are compact parts, and their multi-cavity tools fit the E Series (75-180 T). Long-handle brushes, deck scrubbers and family moulds combining body and base take more mould area, so the C Series (140-320 T) and H Series (120-350 T) are matched to them.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

Common buyer questions on moulding cleaning brush bodies and bases.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Cleaning Brushes?
Horizontal machines, chosen by mould size. Hand and dish brush tools usually sit in the E Series, while long-handle and deck brush moulds need the larger platens of the C or H Series.
  • Why Are Tuft Holes Critical on a Cleaning Brush Body?
The tufting machine drives each bristle bundle into a hole of fixed size and depth. Oval, shallow or flashed holes let tufts pull out or jam the machine, so core pins must stay straight and vented.
  • Can a Brush Be Moulded in One Piece with a Foamed Handle?
One-piece brushes with a foamed handle and solid head need a foaming-capable process and a mould built for it. Raise it at the design stage, since a standard solid moulding cannot produce the foamed handle.
  • Can a Soft TPE Grip Be Added to the Brush Body?
A TPE grip moulded onto the PP body is a two-material process needing a machine built to application. Clip-on or push-fit grips moulded separately can run on the listed series.
  • Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Cleaning Brush?
Yes. Share the brush drawing or sample, tuft hole layout, material, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities and monthly volume, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine.
  • Does the Machine Suit Other Brush and Cleaning Parts Too?
It does, with the right mould. Plastic broom bodies, toilet brush sets, mop head frames and scrubber holders are close in size and material to a brush body.
