Injection Moulding Machine for Washing Machine Pulsators, Filters and Lint Trap Frames

Washing machine pulsators, filters and lint trap frames are made on horizontal injection moulding machines from PP copolymer, talc-filled PP and POM. Pulsator diameter, projected area and cavity count set machine size. Strong knit lines around vanes and slots matter most, since these parts turn in hot detergent water for years.

For these wetted moving parts, machine selection focuses on consistent packing of thick vane roots and clean filling of fine slots. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for pulsator and lint filter production and can recommend a configuration for your tools.

Moulding Pulsators and Lint Filters?

Share your pulsator and filter drawings, grade and volume per model, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine.

Machine Requirements for Washing Machine Pulsator and Filter Moulding

These parts are judged by wash performance and service life rather than looks. Points to check on the machine and process:

  • Accurate vane profile filled without short shots
  • Void-free packing at the hub and vane roots
  • Strong weld lines around every lint filter slot
  • Hot detergent resistance from PP copolymer grades
  • Warpage control on wide talc-filled PP discs
  • Secure shaft insert placement in the pulsator hub

Recommended Machine for Washing Machine Pulsators, Filters and Lint Trap Frames

Lint trap frames and filter parts are compact and suit the E Series (75-180 T) in multi-cavity tools. Pulsators grow with drum size. Larger discs with deep vanes need the C Series (140-320 T), and the biggest discs the H Series (120-350 T), keeping shot weight well within barrel capacity.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

Points washing machine part makers raise most often with our engineers.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Washing Machine Pulsators?
Pulsator diameter decides the machine. Smaller discs and filter frames fit the E Series, while large top-load pulsators with deep vanes need the platen and shot capacity of the C or H Series.
  • Why Does PP Copolymer Suit Pulsators and Filters?
PP copolymer resists hot detergent and keeps its impact strength as parts flex wash after wash. Talc-filled PP adds stiffness and flatness for wide discs, and POM is used for small clips and latches.
  • How Are the Fine Slots in a Lint Filter Frame Moulded?
Each slot splits the melt, so weld lines form around it. Gate so the flow meets at thick sections, vent the cavity well and keep melt and mould temperature high enough for the fronts to knit strongly.
  • Is a Metal Insert Moulded Into the Pulsator Hub?
Pulsators often carry a splined metal bush in the hub to take drive torque, either moulded in or fitted later. Moulded-in bushes need a secure insert seat, steady loading and enough packing around the knurl.
  • Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Pulsator or Lint Filter?
Yes. Share drawings or samples, the grade, part weights, mould dimensions, cavity counts, any hub insert and volume per model, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine.
  • Does the Machine Suit Other Laundry and Appliance Parts Too?
Yes. Machines in this range can also mould appliance knobs and bezels, door handles, water dispenser components and appliance fan housings, subject to the mould.
