Injection Moulding Machine for Salon Accessories

Salon accessories such as tint bowls, tint brush handles, sectioning clips, measuring cups and trolley trays are made on horizontal injection moulding machines, mainly in PP, HDPE and POM. Machine size is set by the largest item in the range, usually the bowl or tray footprint, while resistance to bleach, peroxide and tint decides the material.

Because the range mixes large flat parts with small clips, selection often means two machines: one sized to the bowl or tray, one for multi-cavity small items. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for salon accessory production and can recommend a configuration for each part.

Machine Requirements for Salon Accessory Moulding

Salon accessories are a family of parts with different sizes, so each item is checked on its own. Points to consider:

  • Clamp sized to the projected area of bowls and trays
  • Chemical-resistant PP or HDPE for parts that hold product
  • Flat, warp-free trolley trays with ribs underneath
  • POM spring sections on sectioning clips that flex repeatedly
  • Translucent PP for measuring cups with moulded scale marks
  • Multi-cavity moulds for small clips and brush handles

Recommended Machine for Salon Accessories

Small clips and tint brush handles run multi-cavity on the E Series (75-180 T). Tint bowls and measuring cups can share that range or step up, depending on size. Trolley trays and large bowls with wide projected areas are sized to the C Series (140-320 T), or to the H Series (120-350 T) for the widest trays.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

Questions salon product makers ask when planning moulds.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Salon Accessories?
No single machine fits the whole range. Clips and handles suit the E Series with many cavities, while trays and big bowls are sized to the C or H Series by their footprint.
  • Which Material Resists Hair Colour and Bleach?
PP and HDPE hold up well against bleach, peroxide developer and tint, so they suit bowls, cups and trays. ABS can stain or craze in contact with some products and is better kept for parts that do not hold product.
  • Can Small Salon Items Share One Mould?
Similar sized parts in one material can run in a family mould, such as clips with brush handles. Parts with very different wall thickness fill unevenly, so bowls and trays are better in their own moulds.
  • Are Salon Spray Bottles Injection Moulded?
The bottle body is blow moulded, not injection moulded. Its trigger parts, cap and dip tube collar are injection moulded and can run on small horizontal machines with multi-cavity tools.
  • Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Salon Accessory?
Yes. Share the list of items with drawings or samples, materials, mould dimensions, cavities per mould and monthly volume for each, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend suitable machines.
  • Does the Machine Suit Other Salon and Hair Care Parts Too?
Yes. The same machines can mould combs, hair clips, hair brush bases and salon appliance housings for dryers and straighteners, subject to the mould and material.
