Injection Moulding Machine for Feeding Bottle Bodies
Feeding bottle bodies with straight or wide-neck walls are made on horizontal injection moulding machines in PP or PPSU, over a long core with the neck thread moulded in. Machine size follows shot weight, the opening stroke a tall bottle needs and cavity count. Core cooling and even wall thickness matter most.
For bottle bodies, selection looks at opening and ejector stroke for a tall part, barrel heating for PPSU, and steady injection that keeps the core centred. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines suited to bottle body moulding and can recommend a configuration for your bottle.

Machine Requirements for Feeding Bottle Body Moulding
A bottle body is a deep, thin-walled part with a closed base, a neck thread and often moulded volume markings. The machine should offer:
- Opening and ejector stroke for tall bottle cores
- Even wall thickness without core shift during filling
- Good cooling water supply for long bubbler-cooled cores
- Drying and high barrel temperatures for PPSU bottles
- Clear walls free of flow lines around the base gate
- Accurate neck thread for a leak-free screw ring fit
Recommended Machine for Feeding Bottle Bodies
Smaller bottles in low-cavity moulds can suit the E Series (75-180 T). Larger capacities, multi-cavity moulds or tall cores that need more opening stroke can move to the C Series (140-320 T), or for some moulds the H Series (120-350 T). Shot weight against barrel capacity is checked first, especially for heavier PPSU bodies.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
Questions bottle makers raise when planning a new line.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Feeding Bottle Bodies?
Straight-wall bottle bodies run on horizontal machines in the E, C or H Series. Bottle capacity, cavity count and core length decide the series, since a tall core needs both shot capacity and opening stroke. Can Shaped or Narrow-Neck Bottles Be Injection Moulded?
A body that narrows towards the neck cannot be pulled off a solid core, so shaped bottles are usually made by injection blow moulding, a different process. Straight and wide-neck bodies with no undercut below the thread suit standard injection moulding. How Do You Keep the Bottle Wall Even?
Core shift is the main cause of uneven walls. A centre gate at the base, a stiff core with good cooling, balanced injection speed and a mould that locates the core firmly keep wall thickness even around the bottle.
What Does PPSU Need Compared With PP?
PPSU must be dried thoroughly and runs at much higher melt and mould temperatures than PP. It needs a screw and barrel suited to the heat, oil-heated mould temperature control and careful purging to avoid black specks. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Feeding Bottle Body?
Yes. Share the bottle drawing or sample, capacity, resin grade, part weight, mould dimensions, cavity count and target output, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine.Does the Machine Suit Other Bottle and Feeding Parts Too?
Yes. This machine class can also mould feeding bottle caps, baby sippers, snack cups and breast pump parts, subject to the mould and material.
