Injection Moulding Machine for Decorative Bezels

Decorative bezels are moulded on horizontal injection moulding machines from ABS or PC/ABS for plated and painted trims, with ASA for unpainted exterior parts. Machine size follows the bezel outline, the cavities per mould and the shot weight of clip towers. Hiding weld lines matters most, because ring-shaped bezels form one where melt fronts meet.

For bezels, machine choice depends on fine control of injection speed and mould temperature for a clean cosmetic face. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for decorative bezel production and can recommend a configuration for your trim, finish and mould.

Manufacturing Decorative Bezels?

Send your bezel drawing, material, finish and mould details, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a machine for it.

Machine Requirements for Decorative Bezel Moulding

Bezels frame displays, vents, speakers and lamps, so every flaw on the face is in plain view of the driver:

  • Gate positions that move weld lines to hidden areas
  • Staged injection speed to prevent flow lines and jetting
  • Mould temperature control for even gloss across the face
  • Low moulded-in stress on parts sent for chrome plating
  • Ejector layout that keeps pin marks off the A-side
  • UV-stable ASA for unpainted exterior bezels

Recommended Machine for Decorative Bezels

Small vent, switch and speaker bezels often fit the E Series (75-180 T), sometimes in multi-cavity moulds. Display surrounds, grille inserts and larger exterior trims go to the C Series (140-320 T) for clamping force, or the H Series (120-350 T) where platen area is the limit. Bigger bezel moulds are discussed on request.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

Questions trim and bezel makers bring up most often.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Decorative Bezels?
The size of the trim decides it. Compact bezels run on the E Series, and wide display surrounds or exterior trims need the C or H Series for platen area and shot capacity.
  • How Are Weld Lines Kept Off a Ring Bezel?
A ring fed from one gate always forms a weld line opposite it. Placing that point under a clip or hidden edge, adding an overflow well, or using sequential valve gates on a hot runner moves or weakens the line.
  • When Is ASA Used Instead of ABS?
ASA holds its colour and gloss in sunlight much better than ABS, so it suits unpainted exterior bezels such as fog lamp or grille trims. Interior trims that are painted or plated usually stay in ABS or PC/ABS.
  • How Are Ejector Marks Kept Off the Face?
Ejector pins and sleeves sit on the back, under clip towers and ribs, with enough draft for clean release. Good surface polish on the cavity and correct cooling time also stop drag marks on gloss parts.
  • Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Bezel?
Yes. Share the bezel drawing or sample, material, finish, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities and monthly volume, and Pratishna Engineers will suggest a suitable machine.
  • Does the Machine Suit Other Automotive Trim Parts Too?
Yes. With a suitable mould, a bezel machine can also run motorcycle side panels, control knobs, two-wheeler mudguards and tail lamp lenses.
