Injection Moulding Machine for Poultry Feeders
Poultry feeders, such as hanging tube feeders and pan feeders, are made on horizontal injection moulding machines from PP or PE, with the pan, hopper, cone and grill moulded as separate parts. Hopper height and pan diameter set mould height, opening stroke and clamping force. Even wall thickness on the tall hopper matters most for strength.
Feeder moulding calls for machines that take tall hopper moulds and wide pan moulds, often on the same shop floor. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for poultry feeder production and can recommend a configuration for each part of your feeder.

Machine Requirements for Poultry Feeder Moulding
A feeder set combines a deep hopper with a wide pan and small fittings, so the moulding needs differ by part:
- Long opening stroke to clear tall hopper cores
- Core support to avoid core shift and uneven hopper walls
- Flat pans and grills without warpage
- Accurate fit between pan, cone and hopper locks
- Smooth inner surfaces so feed flows and cleans out
- PP or PE grades that withstand farm disinfectants
Recommended Machine for Poultry Feeders
Cones, grills, lids and small chick feeder parts fit the E Series (75-180 T). Pans and tall hoppers for larger feeders have more projected area or mould height, and are usually sized against the C Series (140-320 T) for wide pans and the H Series (120-350 T) for tall hoppers.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
What poultry equipment makers ask when planning feeder moulds and machines.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Poultry Feeders?
Small feeder parts suit the E Series. Wide pans and tall hoppers usually need the C or H Series, so the machine is picked by the largest mould in the feeder set.Why Does Hopper Wall Thickness Vary on Some Feeders?
A long, thin core can bend under injection pressure, so one side of the hopper fills thicker. Gating at the centre of the base, core interlocks and steady injection speed keep the walls even. How Is the Fit Between Pan and Hopper Kept Consistent?
The twist or snap lock depends on steady shrinkage. Keep mould temperature, holding pressure and cooling time the same each shift, and do not change material grade without checking the fit.
Can Recycled Material Be Used for Poultry Feeders?
It can be used on some outer parts, but feed contact surfaces are usually moulded in virgin PP or PE so they stay smooth and easy to clean. Confirm with your buyer. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Poultry Feeder?
Yes. Share drawings or samples of each feeder part, the material, part weights, mould dimensions and the number of sets you need per day, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a machine.Does the Machine Suit Other Poultry Equipment Parts Too?
Yes. The same machines can produce poultry drinkers, poultry nipple drinkers, chick or poultry feed trays and agri crates, depending on mould size.
