Injection Moulding Machine for Coat Hooks, Handle Brackets and Wall-Mount Fittings
Coat hooks, handle brackets and wall-mount fittings are made on horizontal injection moulding machines from glass-filled PA6, ABS, PP or POM, in single or multi-cavity moulds. Hook size, rib layout and cavities set the machine size. Surface finish matters most, since glass fibre shows on a visible face that must also pass a pull-out test.
Selection for hooks and brackets balances strength and appearance: shot capacity for ribbed parts and process control for a clean moulded-in colour. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for wall-mount hardware and can recommend a configuration for your hook range.

Machine Requirements for Coat Hook and Bracket Moulding
Hooks have to carry load and still look right on a wall, often in moulded-in colour. Points to check:
- Glass-filled PA6 run without fibre showing on the face
- Wear-resistant screw and barrel for glass-filled grades
- Ribbed sections filled fully without sink on visible faces
- Screw boss geometry matched to the supplied wall plug
- PA6 and ABS dried to avoid splay on the face
- Gate placed off the visible face of the hook
Recommended Machine for Coat Hooks and Wall-Mount Fittings
Coat hooks and wall brackets fall in the small to medium range, which puts many single-hook and multi-cavity moulds on the E Series (75-180 T). Long handle brackets, heavier ribbed fittings or family tools for a hook range can move to the H Series (120-350 T), sized by shot weight and mould dimensions.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
What makers of hooks and wall fittings ask before buying a machine.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Coat Hooks and Brackets?
Coat hook moulds often run on E Series machines. Larger handle brackets or high-cavity family tools fit the H Series. Shot weight against barrel capacity and the mould’s projected area decide the size. Why Does Glass Fibre Show on a Nylon Coat Hook?
Fibres near the surface show as a rough, dull finish, more so with a cold mould or slow fill. Running a hotter mould with faster injection reduces it. Otherwise paint the part, or use unfilled PA6 or POM with extra ribs for strength. How Is the Load Rating of a Hook Tested?
Hooks and brackets are loaded in the mounted position, and the fixing is given a pull-out test. Switching to a new grade, more regrind or undried nylon can change the result, so retest after any process or material change.
Why Must the Screw Boss Match the Wall Plug?
Hooks are often sold with a wall plug and screw, and the boss sets how the screw seats and how load passes to the wall. Any boss out of size, or one with a weld line, can split under load. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Coat Hook or Bracket?
Yes. Send the hook or bracket drawing, material and colour, part weight, load rating, cavities, mould size and monthly quantity, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a machine.Does the Machine Suit Other Wall and Cabinet Fittings Too?
Yes. Anchor fasteners, wall plugs, furniture knobs and door catches are moulded on similar machines, subject to each mould and shot.
