Injection Moulding Machine for Micro-Sprinklers and Micro-Jets
Micro-sprinklers and micro-jets are made on small horizontal injection moulding machines in multi-cavity moulds, using PP for bodies and stakes and POM for spinners. Machine size comes from cavity count and total shot weight, since each part weighs little. Orifice accuracy matters most, as a small change in the nozzle bore changes flow and spray pattern.
For micro-sprinklers, selection is about small, repeatable shots, balanced filling of many cavities and clean venting for POM rotors. Pratishna Engineers supplies horizontal injection moulding machines for micro-sprinkler production and can recommend a configuration once it sees your moulds and output targets.

Machine Requirements for Micro-Sprinkler / Micro-Jet Moulding
Micro-sprinklers are tiny parts where small moulding errors show up directly in the field as uneven watering:
- Fine core pins for orifices, without bending or flash
- Small, repeatable shot weight for light parts
- Even wall on spinners so rotors run balanced
- Good venting and controlled melt temperature for POM
- Gate vestige kept off spray and bearing faces
- Clean colour change for colour-coded flow rates
Recommended Machine for Micro-Sprinklers / Micro-Jets
Micro-sprinkler moulds are compact with light shots, so the E Series (75-180 T) suits nozzle, spinner, bridge and stake tools. Very high-cavity moulds or one-piece designs with long stakes and wider tools may need the C Series (140-320 T) for platen space and injection capacity.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
Common questions about moulding micro irrigation spray parts.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used to Make Micro-Sprinklers?
The E Series fits the usual micro-sprinkler and micro-jet tools. The C Series is considered only when cavity count or mould width goes beyond what the smaller platen and injection unit can carry. How Is the Small Nozzle Orifice Held Accurately?
A hardened core pin forms the orifice. Gate away from the pin so melt does not push it sideways, and check pins for wear, because a worn or bent pin changes the flow rate. Why Do Micro-Sprinkler Spinners Wobble?
An unbalanced spinner usually has uneven wall thickness, a large gate stub or short shots on one vane. Balanced cavity fill and clean degating keep the rotor running true.
Can Micro-Sprinklers Be Moulded as One Piece?
Simple micro-jets are often one-piece PP mouldings. Rotating types use a separate POM spinner. One-piece designs reduce assembly but may need side actions for the bridge and nozzle. Can Pratishna Recommend a Machine for My Micro-Sprinkler / Micro-Jet?
Yes. Share drawings or samples, the material for each part, part weights, mould size, cavities and your output target, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a machine.Does the Machine Suit Other Micro Irrigation Parts Too?
Yes. Similar machines can produce drip emitters, drip takeoffs, barb connectors and drip line end caps.
