Vertical Injection Moulding Machine (PVDL Series)
The PVDL Series is a range of vertical injection moulding machines from Pratishna Engineers with a vertical clamp and a vertical injection unit. The lower mould half faces upward, so metal pins, terminals, threaded bushes and other inserts can be placed into it and stay located by gravity until the mould closes. The series is available in 40, 60 and 80 ton models.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted insert moulding machine manufacturers in India. Based in Mumbai, the company brings 35+ years of machine-building experience and has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering the PVDL Series for electrical, automotive and engineering insert moulding, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
Select a PVDL Series model by the part and insert layout, how many inserts are loaded per shot, shot weight, cavities and cycle time. Share your part drawing, insert details and production requirement and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable model and loading arrangement.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often, before a PVDL Series specification is agreed.
What Is the Pratishna PVDL Series?
The PVDL Series is Pratishna’s range of vertical clamp, vertical injection moulding machines, available in 40, 60 and 80 ton models, built for insert moulding. Why Is a Vertical Clamp Better for Insert Moulding?
The lower mould faces upward, so inserts rest in position under gravity and do not fall out before the mould closes. Loading is faster and safer than placing inserts in a vertical mould face on a horizontal machine.Which Products Are Made on PVDL Series Machines?
Plug tops with brass pins, electrical terminals and connectors, parts with threaded brass bushes, sensor housings, needle and catheter hubs, and small parts moulded over metal.Which PVDL Series Model Is Suitable for My Part?
The model depends on the part and insert layout, number of inserts per shot, shot weight, cavities and mould size. Share your part and insert details and Pratishna Engineers will recommend the 40, 60 or 80 ton model.
Are Sliding Mould Versions Available?
Sliding-mould arrangements, where inserts are loaded in one lower mould while the other is moulded, can be offered to shorten the cycle for insert-heavy parts. The configuration is confirmed with the application. What Plastic Materials Can the PVDL Series Process?
PP, PVC, ABS, PC, nylon, PBT, POM and TPE, including flame-retardant and glass-filled grades for electrical parts, with the screw and barrel matched to the material. What Is the Difference Between the PVDL and PV Series?
The PVDL Series has a vertical clamp with vertical injection for inserts loaded into the lower mould. The PV Series has a horizontal clamp with vertical injection for cables and inserts that pass through the mould.Does Pratishna Provide Installation and Support for PVDL Series Machines?
Yes. Pratishna Engineers provides installation, commissioning, operator training and after-sales technical support, along with spare parts, as part of its machine lifecycle services.
